    David Bor, M.D. is the Chief of Medicine, The Cambridge Health Alliance and the Charles S. Davidson Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bor has dedicated his career to academic community health improvement, co-founding the Cambridge AIDS task force (1985), Cambridge-Harvard Health of the City Program (1991-2001) and the Institute for Community
    Health (2001).

    He chairs the steering committee that conceived and developed the Harvard-Cambridge Integrated Clerkship, which has received international recognition as an innovative approach to clinical education. He also chairs CHA’s “Academic Council” which oversees all scholarly research and training activities at CHA. He is a trustee of CHA. He has mentored scores of students, residents and faculty members over his career. His research interests and publications include studies of disparities in access to health and medical care and innovations in medical education.

    Dr. Bor has received Harvard Medical School’s 2002 Dean’s Award for Community Service, 2002 A. Clifford Barger Excellence in Mentoring Award, and 2011 Dean’s Leadership Award for the Advancement of Women Faculty. He also received CHA’s 2010 “Art of Healing Award” and 2013 Men of Color Taskforce recognition as a “Cambridge Health Hero”.
